We are so incredibly grateful to have worked with Kathy! She helped us with manners training for our very hyper, rambunctious poodle, and the transformation has been amazing. Kathy was patient, knowledgeable, and so encouraging throughout the entire process. She gave us practical tools that actually work and helped us better understand our dog instead of just correcting behavior. Our poodle is so much more calm now and truly couldn’t be happier with the progress. If you’re looking for a trainer who genuinely cares and knows what she’s doing, Kathy is the one!

We did the anxiety package of training for our little rescue girl who has a lot of fears. She provided us with a lot of new ideas that we had not thought of and she has made huge progress in the 4 weeks of training, we definitely will keep working with our dog and keep up our training that we learned from Kathy. I can’t say enough good things about Kathy and her training service. I did not know where to start to teaching my puppy, Sally, her basic puppy manners. At each session Sally practiced what she learned in past sessions and then worked on something new. I was amazed on how quickly she picked things up with Kathy’s expertise and patience. After each session we received a video of what we learned so we could review it as often as needed. That was definitely a great help. I’m so glad we did training with Kathy at Dogspeak training! Kathy came up with a clear plan for helping our crazy barker who is triggered by people at the door and kids anywhere along our paths. Having her help us with a variety of exercises in our home and out on walks was super helpful. Each week she had a training plan with specific exercises and tips for us to work on. Our goal was to be able to take Phoebe on her first plane trip and to be ok - not barking like crazy in the airports and then out in public. The training did help us have a wonderful trip but also helped improve Phoebes confidence out in the world. Now at home we continue to practice with the door and kids along our walks, but with the tactics Kathy taught us, Phoebe is getting so much better and not barking like crazy and being a calm pup out in public! I also love how Kathy is calm and supportive and also creative in suggesting new things. Can’t recommend highly enough!!

Kathy has done such an amazing job with our GSD puppy Millie! We’ve been struggling with leash reactivity and Kathy made a huge difference. We’ve are excited for her to continue working with Millie!

HIGHLY recommend Kathy and DogSpeak training. Kathy helped our 8 month old pup who wouldn’t even come near you, let alone sit happy in Petco as shown in this photo. She also helped our 4 year old lab who has a lot of anxiety as well. Kathy is patient and explains everything in a way to help you as a dog owner understand your dog and meet their needs better. I would rate 6 stars, but there’s only 5!!!

Kathy was wonderful with our middle aged German Shepherd/ Belgian Malionis mix. She knew so much about dog behavior; it was very educational. We cannot thank Kathy enough for helping us have a better understanding of our dog’s behaviors and how to help our dog cope with certain situations.

Kathy from DogSpeak Dog Training is an excellent source of information and great at helping you have to tools to have a successful relationship with your dog. We were a bit overwhelmed with an Australian shepherd and she showed us how to challenge his mind and proper train him for a well behaved part of the family. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge. We are thankful for her helping us.

It’s really tough to find a reliable pet sitter. Before I called Kathy, I had just about given up. I had to take a trip across the country, and had called about ten different sitters. They either didn’t service my area (even though they listed my area on their site, and I’m in the city of Tampa), never called me back or ghosted me. I was just about to cancel the trip due to not having care for my cat, Black Tiger.However, calling Kathy, she asked me a lot of pertinent questions, and then went over options. We arranged an easy way to gain access to my home, she met with Black Tiger, and takes exceptional care of her. I get immediate updates each time Kathy visits with pictures, videos and status updates for my cat. I’ve used Kathy a couple times now and her water bowl is always cleaned, her litter box is maintained and her food is filled.You can tell that Kathy is passionate about pets and that she enjoys this work. She’s also honest, as she refunded me one day the difference for only being able to do part of the visit time. I would’ve not known either way as I was in a meeting this particular day, but she said she was booked solid for that particular day and refunded the difference.I highly recommend Kathy for any pet sitting needs and will be using her again for another trip I’m taking later this month. Kathy has taken care of my boy, Howard for over 10 years. I cannot imagine having done it without her. Kathy is beyond reliable making herself available for last-minute pet visits on short notice and I have never trusted anyone in my home and with my dog as much as I do her. Kathy’s new clients in Florida are going to love and appreciate her as much as I do. She will be sorely missed.

Kathy is AMAZING!!! She took amazing care of our 3 German Shepherds. We used Kathy both for training and pet sitting. We always knew our girls were in the best hands. Kathy has expertise, experience, and a love for animals. She is devoted and compassionate. In training, we saw so much progress with our girls (and litter mates) Sophie and Jackie, and with our foster dog, Gretel. Gretel quickly came to trust Kathy even though she has a ton of anxiety from her rough past. Kathy really helped build her confidence and give us tools to continue working with her. We wish she still lived near us so we could continue working with her. She made such a difference in our lives and is truly missed !!

Kathy is the greatest and our dogs love her! Vacations the past 10 years have been so much easier knowing our pups were in good hands. Kathy even helped us acclimate a very anxious rescue dog through training sessions. Can't say enough good things about our experience.
